IT Move Project
A facility move can be risky for any company. The cost of downtime can be huge if the move is not well planned. We have performed many corporate IT and data center moves, and have designed a move plan and templates to help our clients relocate their IT infrastructure, reducing risks of complications at the new site. Our first priority is to ensure that all corporate IT infrastructure is operational on schedule at the new site. Once the move date has been set, the IT move schedule is sent to all IT users well in advance. Requests and concerns are collected and the plan is revised as needed. Detailed instructions are sent to all users one week prior to the move date. The project plan inlcudes a detailed list of pre-move, move day and post-move events. Below is a list of some of the specific activities in each phase.
Pre-Move Activities
We'll meet with your management team well in advance to form an internal move team, formulate a move plan, and create a communication plan to keep all employees informed. Our team will create a test plan for mission critical systems, provide all cabling, manage ISP connectivity and backup all critical company data. Vendor coordination as well as the creation of a contingency plan for critical servers will be handled by our team. We will also design the server room and go over facility requirements with your management team.
Move Day Activities
On the move day, Moyo Group will tear down and pack all corporate IT components, supervise transportation of these assets, handle the network and system setup at your new company site, and start and test key services such as the Domain Controller/AD, DNS, WINS/DHCP, Email and lab systems.
Post-Move Activities
After the move, we will install and test any remaining systems not completed during the move window. We'll provide on-site capacity to support and trouble-shoot programs for all users. We will then confirm that all local and remote users and key processes are fully operational before completing.
