Antispam Implementation

The vast majority of email messages arriving at corporate email servers are spam. Implementing an effective Antispam solution is now a critical part of any IT infrastructure. • Barracuda Antispam Firewall – provides a local appliance-based solution with good policy control and flexibility. This can be a more cost effective solution as the number of users increases. The appliance model reduces problems often experienced by software-only solutions.
• Google (Postini ) Antispam – this popular hosted solution provides a low entry cost and is widely used in the marketplace. The Positini solution also queues messages if the email server or connection fails and delivers the email when service is restored.
• Microsoft Antispam – One of Microsofts ‘Exchange Hosted Services’ – filtering (antispam) is a hosted model. Forefront Online Security for Exchange consists of layered technologies to actively help protect businesses’ inbound and outbound e-mail from spam, viruses, phishing scams, and e-mail policy violations.
