IT Move Project
A facility move can be damaging for any company. The risk of costly downtime can be huge if the move is not planned right. We have performed many corporate IT and data center moves, and have designed a move plan to help our clients relocate their IT infrastructure, reducing risks of complications at the new site. Our first priority is to ensure all corporate IT infrastructure is moved and operational on schedule. Once the move date has been set, the IT move schedule is sent to all IT users by a set date. Requests and concerns are collected and the plan can be revised if needed. Detailed instructions are sent to all users one week prior to the move date.
The facility design plan has a detailed list of pre-move, move day and post-move events. Below is a list of specific activities which will occur during each phase.
Pre-Move Activities
To begin, our team will meet with your management and from there, form an internal move team, formulate a move plan, and create a communication plan for all employees. Our team will create a test plan for mission critical systems, and provide all cabling, ISP dismantling and set up, and backup all critical company data. Vendor coordination as well as the creation of a contingency plan for critical servers will be handled by our team. We will also design the server room and go over facility requirements with your management team.
Move Day Activities
On the move day, Moyo Group will tear down and pack all corporate IT components, supervise transportation of these assets, handle the network and system setup at your new company site, and boot and test key productive services such as the Domain Controller/AD, DNS, WINS/DHCP, Email and Lab.
Post-Move Activities
After the move, we will install and test any remaining systems not completed during the move date, as well as provide capacity support and trouble-shooting programs to all users, since we will be on-site for a period of time after the move. We will then confirm that all local and remote users, as well as key process owners, are fully operational before evacuating our moving team.
